Longevity
Eagle/WPS has a 20 year history of projects with one of the world’s leading OSB producers, Norbord, Inc. When Norbord recently committed to upgrade all of their facilities in the US, Eagle earned the opportunity to continue our partnership with Norbord and provide turn-key services for these projects.
Over the course of the past two years Eagle has provided engineering, project management, fabrication, and construction services for projects ranging from fines screening and extraction, blending and resination systems, to dryer exhaust ventilation and PMDI fume control in Norbord facilities from Texas to South Carolina.
Expansion Design
Eagle recently completed the design of an expansion in a resins manufacturing facility. The scope of this project included designing the sitework and grading to prepare the site for a new building and the design of the building to house new equipment. This included a loading dock with a ramp, the design of a CMU electrical room, the design of all foundations and area paving, and the design of spill containment systems to prevent accidental spills from leaving the site as well as the design of all drainage systems.
Finite Element Analysis
Eagle recently completed the finite element analysis of three large scrubbers that where fabricated by WPS Industries for installation in petro-chemical plants in the Baton Rouge area. These analyses were used to determine stiffener size and spacing, wall thickness requirements, and reinforcing requirements at piping connections and supports.
